London is hit by smog and high pollution levels made worse by a sand cloud from the Sahara desert. Vehicle emissions and industrial pollution from the UK and Europe have all culminated into the worst air quality of the year for the South and East of the country. Health warnings telling people not to take strenuous exercise and for people suffering lung and heart problems have been issued by the Environment Agency. The EU restricts emissions of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and other pollutants because of their health impacts. HD Footage. © Jason N Parkinson/reportdigital.co.uk
