Immigrants, workers, union members and community activists demonstrated in front of the Federal Building in Oakland against the firing of undocumented workers because of their immigration status. Thousands of workers around the country have been fired as a result of the audits of I-9 forms by the federal government, and the use of the E-Verify database. The Federal Building demonstration was the third day of a three day hunger strike to protest the firings. © David Bacon/reportdigital.co.uk
