The cracked dried up mud of a reservoir which supplies water to the city of La Paz below the Huayna Potosi Mountain. The glaciers in the Andes are retreating, reducing the level to far lower than normal. Run-off from glaciers in the Cordillera Real contributes to reservoirs that supply 1.5 million people in La Paz and the neighboring city El Alto, Bolivia.
